Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity "works together with families, local communities, volunteers and partners from around the world so that more people are able to live in affordable and safe homes." These three t-shirt design concepts were created for Upperatus, an apparel company dedicated to promoting awareness and raising funds for various charities and non-profits. Concepts I focused on are community building, Christian imagery (light rays, the holy trinity), hope, multiculturalism and diversity.
Artsakh Strong
Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) is a predominantly Armenian-populated region that was claimed by both Armenia and Azerbaijan when both countries became independent in 1918. A hotly contested area for over a century, Artsakh was invaded and subsequently seized by Azerbaijani forces at the conclusion of the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War in 2020.
During this war, Armenians throughout the world fundraised to support defense efforts of Artsakh. I chose to contribute through donating 100% of proceeds from the sale of t-shirts, mugs and stickers. In the design, I highlighted Artsakh's most famous statue and symbol of resilience "Tatik u Papik" (Grandmother and Grandfather) placed inside the Armenian-American rallying cry of the time, "Artsakh Strong". The color palette is red, blue and orange which make up the Armenian flag.

Musicians Institute
I successfully advocated for creating merch as an additional revenue stream for contemporary music college, Musicians Institute. Starting with apparel, I initiated an Instagram survey to determine the most potentially profitable design and color.
The institute was founded in 1977 as a guitar school and has grown to now offer 15 disciplines of music study. My final concept includes a nod to both of these defining aspects: the design style evokes a 70's look & feel and MI's extensive breadth of disciplines are highlighted. This design was a limited offering and was the top selling product which sold out within one day.
